Local know-how

What we haul out in Everett

Everett is a dense small city packed into about three and a half square miles just north of Boston, and that density shapes nearly every job we do here. The housing is mostly two- and three-family homes and triple-deckers, the working-class stock that filled Glendale, Woodlawn, and West Everett in the early 1900s, plus the older single-families and historic properties along the Broadway corridor. These houses come with steep back stairs, third-floor units, low basements, and tight driveways, so a big share of our Everett work is carry-down hauls where the crew brings everything down from an upper floor by hand. We work room by room, carry every piece out ourselves, and hand you the price before we start.

Most of what we take is the stuff the city will not pick up at the curb. Everett keeps bulky items out of the regular trash and makes you set them out separately on a schedule, which is a problem when a three-family empties out between tenants or a basement finally hits its limit. That is the load we are built for: the fridge nobody moved out of the cellar, the old couch on the second-floor landing, the dead washer and dryer, the water heater, the yard waste from a small Everett lot, and the TVs and other electronics. You only pay for what we actually haul, and there is no fuel surcharge added at the curb.

Massachusetts no longer lets mattresses and box springs go in the regular trash, so we haul them off and make sure they are handled under the state rules, not left on your porch or stacked in the driveway waiting on a separate pickup. On a turnover in one of Everett’s three-deckers, that often means several mattresses out of several units at once, which is exactly the kind of run we plan the truck around. We take them down from any floor and load them with the rest, so nothing gets left behind for the next tenant or the new owner to deal with.

The calls come from all over Everett: a family clearing a parent’s two-family in Woodlawn before it sells, a landlord turning over a Glendale unit between tenants, a contractor who needs post-renovation debris gone before the next trade shows up near Broadway, a packed basement or attic in West Everett that finally reached its limit. Some are a single pickup, some are a multi-day whole-house clear. Because we are based in Malden right next door, we can usually reach your block fast and often the same day. If your project calls for a dumpster on a public street in Everett instead, the city may require a permit for that, which the property owner pulls, and we will flag it up front so nothing stalls on the day. We size the crew and the truck to the job, give you the number first, and leave the place broom-clean.

How much does junk removal in Everett cost?
Every Everett job gets a free, no-obligation estimate. We price by how much of the truck your load fills, not by the hour, so you only pay for the space you actually use. You get that number up front, before anything leaves the house, with no fuel surcharges and no surprise fees at the curb.
Do I have to drag everything out to the curb first?
No. That is the part most Everett customers hire us for. Our crew carries it out from wherever it sits, including third-floor units and back-corner basements in the two- and three-families around Glendale and West Everett. You point at what is going and we do the lifting and the stairs.
Can you take mattresses and box springs?
Yes. Massachusetts no longer lets mattresses and box springs go in the regular trash, so we haul them off and make sure they are handled under the state rules instead of left on your porch. On a three-decker turnover we will pull several at once from different units in the same trip.
Do you remove appliances and TVs and other electronics?
Yes. We take refrigerators, washers, dryers, water heaters, and the rest, including the unit sitting in an Everett basement that nobody wants to wrestle up the stairs. We also haul TVs and other e-waste, and we handle the disposal so you do not have to make a separate trip.
Can you do a full estate or whole-house cleanout?
Yes. Whole-house and estate cleanouts are a big share of our Everett work, often on a closing or listing deadline for a family clearing a parent’s two-family in Woodlawn or the Village. We work room by room, clear attics, basements, and porches, and leave the place broom-clean and ready to show or sell.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Everett?
If a dumpster goes on a public street in Everett rather than in your own driveway, the city may require a permit, which the property owner pulls and is responsible for. On a private driveway you usually do not. If you would rather we just load it onto the truck and haul it, no permit is involved at all, and we will flag the permit question up front either way.
Can you come the same day?
Often, yes. We are based in Malden right next door, so when the schedule allows we can reach Everett the same day or the next. Call early in the day and we will tell you straight what we can do, then give you the free estimate before the crew starts.
Which parts of Everett do you serve?
All of it: Glendale, Woodlawn, West Everett, the Village, Lower Broadway, and the homes along the Broadway corridor. We also cover the towns right next door, including Malden, Chelsea, Medford, and Revere, plus towns across Greater Boston and southern New Hampshire.
